Silent Gliss 7650 - 50mm Electric Curtain Pole - Basic Switch Operation
The Silent Gliss 7650 Metropole is an electrically operated version of the 7620 50mm curtain pole. This is designed to operate with the efficiency of an electric track but with the more elegant design of a contemporary pole. The system is controlled by a remote switch on the wall to add a touch of luxury to the curtain operation. The button activated system also is a good aid to anyone who has restricted reach or mobility and can be a great assistance to those who struggle to operate hand drawn or cord drawn curtain poles. The 7650 electric curtain pole now makes it possible to have an electrically operated curtain product that does not have to be plain or in white. It is also a system that can be plugged into the mains supply and has no need for wiring. The switches are also remote operated which removes the need for trailing wires.
The 7650 range replaces the Silent Gliss 6150 range.

The 7650 Electric Curtain Pole is a 50mm Metropolitan pole with a 5100 Autoglide track fitted inside. This basically means that it operates the same as the 5100 Basic Autoglide but looks like the 50mm Metropole including being available in all seven colours. This product is ideal for top fixing or face fixing and comes standard with either a flush fitting top fix bracket or the adjustable 0334 Maxi face fixing bracket. Unfortunately this product is not suitable for bay windows at the present time. The 7650 Silent Gliss Electric Metropole is a belt driven pole, this means that it is a rubber belt with cogs inside the track that are directly powered by a motor that then drives the track and makes the curtains open and close. This is the best way for an electric system to work as the alternative of having a separate motor detached from the track that drives the tracks cords results in most cases of the motor slipping and the cord snapping. We can also make the same system using more advanced and stronger curtain tracks. These take the Silent Gliss 5600 systems and integrate them into the 50mm Metropole. These systems can be used with integrated radio or home entertainment systems and can carry up to 40kg of weight.
