Our uncorded curtain poles are available in two types:
Curtain Poles with Gliders – Our Silent Gliss Metropolitan poles combine quality with the functionality of a curtain track. Available in different diameters, these poles are suitable for bay as well as straight windows and can be custom bent by our experienced technicians using the latest computer technology.
Curtain Poles with Rings – Poles with rings are less efficient than poles with gliders, but they provide a more conventional mechanism with a greater focus on design styling. We offer a number of ranges and pole diameters to suit different styles, budgets and curtain weights.
All ranges come with a wide range of accessories with which to personalise your pole. |

Poles with Gliders
|
The Metropolitan metal curtain pole works with gliders to combine the effective operating system of a curtain track with the design and look of a pole. A channel in the bottom of the pole allows the gliders to slide along underneath, which creates less friction and stress on the pole. This allows large expanses to be crossed and heavier curtains to be hung from them. Brackets can be placed anywhere along the track and the curtains can glide past the brackets, allowing multiple curtains to be hung on the curtain pole. Our curtain poles with gliders can also be bent for bay windows.
Metropolitan poles are ideal if you require a bay window curtain pole, have heavy curtains or for a weak fixing as extra brackets can be used without restricting the curtains. They are also ideal for top fixing close to the ceiling as the pole fits almost directly to the ceiling. If you use your curtains often and want the efficiency of a track but a more decorative look, then this range is for you.

Poles with Rings
|
Uncorded metal curtain poles with rings work in the traditional way, with rings, as opposed to the glider-operated system offered by the Metropolitan pole.
Various ranges are on offer from our store, each of a different quality and design style – from a high quality DIY packaged pole that can be cut down to size on-site, to a superior quality, made to measure pole, engineered to the highest standards with exceptionally attractive styling. Each pole comes in a variety of colours and has a wide range of finials and other accessories. As with all curtain poles with rings, the running of the pole is less effective than our Metropolitan Metropole range of uncorded and corded poles, but what these poles offer is a different, more traditional working mechanism alongside a wider and more design-oriented finial selection.
